Winners Announced In Cadets Essay, Art Contest

The Cadets are proud to announce the winners of their 2008 Happiness Essay and Art Contest!

Writer Brandon Hillard, 15, of Bear, Del., took the top prize in the writing portion of the contest after sharing the moment he realized contentment in his own heart was when he read in his mother’s journal that she was indeed very happy, despite family struggles.

Artists and twin sisters Michele and Meghan Russo of Branchburg, N.J., won first place in the art category of the contest after submitting a beautiful drawing that depicts images of the Cadets’ 2008 program, “…and the pursuit of happiness.”
