Front Ensemble Award Becomes Permanent DCE Championships Award

The Front Ensemble Award will be continued as a permanent award at the DCE European Championships. In 2006 the award was initiated by Cor and Ina Boer Rookhuiszen. Drum Corps Europe has decided to ‘adopt’ the award by adding it to the list of caption awards.

Barry, the son of Cor and Ina Boer Rookhuiszen, died in February of 2006. He was a talented player in the pit section of Jubal Drum & Bugle Corps. One of Barry’s wishes was a special award for the pit section at drum corps shows.
