In The News: Hurricane High Student Travels Country With Drum And Bugle Corps

A Hurricane High student got a chance to travel around the United States as part of a drum and bugle corps.

Hurricane High School color guard captain Daniel Brown spent his summer with the Ohio Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps and plans on doing it again in 2009 by trying out with the Illinois-based Cavaliers.

Currently a senior at Hurricane, Brown, 17, has been a member of the high school color guard for three years now. Though he has had no formal experience in dance or performing, Brown’s interest in the color guard has blossomed from an after-school hobby into a full-scale obsession.
