In The News: Marion Cadets’ Future In Question

Two years shy of its 50th anniversary, the future of Marion’s drum and bugle corps is unknown.

Mike King, executive director of Marion Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps Inc., said Wednesday he ended his 19-year association with the group by resigning from his position in June.

“It was just time for me to go,” said King. He said the Marion Cadets and many drum and bugle corps are struggling with recruiting new members and maneuvering through tough economic times.
