Shapiro Returns To Lead Blue Stars’ 2009 Color Guard

The Blue Stars Drum & Bugle Corps is pleased to announce the return of Michael Shapiro as caption head and designer for the 2009 Blue Stars color guard. Under Michael’s design and instruction, the Blue Stars’ 2008 guard placed 7th at the DCI World Championships and dazzled audiences with the their skill, performance and creativity.

"We are thrilled that Michael is returning to the Blue Stars for the 2009 season," said Blue Stars Corps Director Howard Weinstein. His creative energy and passion for the activity are infectious and help to bring out the very best in our members and staff. Michael plays a key role in the development of the field product, helping the Blue Stars push the innovation envelope while still maintaining the elements of the organization that truly represent the corps. I have had the honor of working with Shapiro on past projects, and I am looking forward to working with him again."
