2009 Boston Crusaders Rochester, NY, Audition Information

New for 2009 auditions, and supplementing the three existing audition locations of Massachusetts, Texas and Florida is a one day audition at Eastridge High School in Rochester, NY on November 1. "We’ve had a number of members come through our program from upstate New York in the last few years, and they have expressed interest in tapping into the many high school and college music programs to draw membership," comments Crusaders Tour Director Melissa Poag. "This is an extension of our overall plan of making it easier and cheaper to audition for a World Class drum corps. We feel that if we can go out to them, even if it’s just for a day, we’re giving a new region of candidates a chance to be evaluated on a World Class level. It also helps that our Guard Caption Head Matt Winans grew up in the region–we expect a strong color guard contingent at the Rochester audition, even thought it’s year one for that location."
