Pioneer Announces 2009 Michigan Auditions
The Pioneer Drum and Bugle Corps, in collaboration with Eastern Michigan University GEAR UP and Willow Run Community Schools, will be hosting its first Music and Movement Educational Clinic at Willow Run Middle School in Ypsilanti, MI on Saturday, November 22nd. Registration will begin at 9:00 AM EST, and the M&M Educational Clinic will run until 5:00 PM EST.
Throughout the day students will be able to partake in the rehearsal experience of the DCI World Class Pioneer Drum and Bugle Corps. Students can choose from Brass, Percussion, or Color Guard as they learn what is involved on a day to day basis with this incredible youth performance organization.
Students will be able to directly interact with our instructional staff, learning the corps’ approach to music, movement, and performance. Interested students will be able to play an informal audition for the spot of their choice in the corps, and will also receive an information packet detailing what is required if they are interested in partaking in the 2009 DCI Summer Music Games Tour with the Pioneer. The day will conclude with a Show and Tell of what the students worked on that day, and also a Q&A forum for parents and students with Pioneer staff, alumni, and parents.

10:00 AM – Sectional Workshop/Rehearsal

3:00 PM – Presentation for parents and directors
4:00 PM – Show and Tell/Q&A Session

Students of all ages are encouraged to attend the M&M Educational Clinic. Included in this mailing is a poster advertising the event that you may display in your rehearsal facility.
