In The News: Belvederes Back After 30-Year Absence

The recent Lebanon County Holiday Parade featured an appearance by a music and marching group that had not been heard locally since the 1970s. Appearing as the “Belvedere Alumni,” former members of the extinct Schuylkill Haven Belvederes Drum & Bugle Corps braved the elements to perform for an appreciative audience on the streets of Lebanon.

Even after all these years, many old-timers on the sidewalks still remembered seeing and hearing the corps at various local venues during the presidential days of Richard Nixon. The alumni were happy to see all who witnessed the parade and their enthusiastic response to the alumni marching and music performance.
