2009 Academy Clinic/Audition Weekend #2 Report
This Sunday, The Academy completed its second consecutive weekend of its annual clinic/auditions for the 2009 corps. Participants were treated to another 14 hours of solid instruction and an inside look into The Academy’s rehearsal techniques. This weekend featured opportunities for new and returning brass and percussion applicants to audition. The color guard auditions will continue on January 3-4.
The corps is off to another great start for the upcoming season. 160 of the students were asked to return in January to begin the winter training. They will be joined by a group of first-time audition hopefuls that are expected to attend the first full camp as well. With 28 age-outs in 2008, this year’s corps is fortunate to have already 67 solid veteran members of the corps returning to the ranks.
