In The News: Cedar Rapids Troupe Awaits Inaugural Invite
The Grant Wood All-City Drum and Bugle Corps hopes to learn this week whether or not it will march Barack Obama’s inaugural parade.
If it marches, it should be at the head of the parade, according to its band director Slayton Thompson.
"Just like we launched Obama" in Iowa’s leadoff precinct caucuses in January 2008, "so should we lead his parade," he said Monday.
