In The News: Kavaliers Cancel Attendance At Centre’s Celebration

The Kawartha Kavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps have decided to cancel their trip to France, to mark the 65th anniversary of the D-Day Invasion, citing financial challenges.

According to John O’Reilly, a long-time band member who had helped spearhead the trip, a lack of financial commitment from both Veterans Affairs Canada and the Lindsay Legacy CHEST (Community Hydro-Electric System Transfer) Fund were key considerations to the cancelled trip.
