The Sounds Of Philadelphia Announce 2009 Program

The Sounds of Philadelphia are pleased to announce the start of the 2009 Season of this new and exciting Drum corps from the City of Brotherly love.

We will be entering the 2009 DCA competitive season with a program called "Welcome to the Parade"

The staff is excited about this blend of Rock and Jazz music to usher in the new corps into the DCA realm of competition and we know that it will be a show worth it’s stripes and crowd pleasing.

The show will comprise of music from" My Chemical romance" as well as a newly written version of Jazz of Philadelphia to name a few but i don’t want to give away the whole show just yet.

The staff is headed by it’s coordinator Jeff Kozol who has been with the Cadets and Crossmen in his marching history.

TSOP’s music is being composed by Adam Levowitz who is working in the Drum Corps Arena for the first time as a composer but has a unique quality to his compositions working on our brass staff is Jamie Bennit and Larry Carbonell both names know in the DCI and DCA circles for quality showmanship.

The percussion staff is staffed by Mike Harrison, Tony Perez, Matt Camp Elyse Fischer and Bryan Simpson with Keith Wilson and Dan Mark in the front Ensemble.

The guard of the Sounds of Philadelphia are under the instruction of Dominick Benjamin and Amy Brown with Ken Jackson also in the instructional staff.

The Sounds of Philadelphia welcome anyone who is interested in Becoming a part of the sounds to come out to our Next Camp on December 6th from 11am till 6pm to see what the buzz around town is and be a part of the sounds.

Come out to Lansdale Catholic High School and become a part of what is going to be a premier year and a new start in the City that has seen a history of so many grand Drum Corps.
