2009 Academy January Camp Report

This past weekend The Academy Drum and Bugle Corps started its winter training at the Tempe Sports Complex. While the color guard section is on hiatus for the winter guard season, the brass and percussion sections moved forward with its new membership following the December auditions.

Typical for this time of year, the corps focused heavily on technique and physical training. However, the group also worked on the first 3 minutes of the 2009 production “The Ascent”. In addition, the brass also began rehearsing two additional pieces that will be a part of the June theater production in the Tempe Center for the Arts.
