In The News: Colts Fundraising Drive A Good Fit

The Dubuque Colts Drum and Bugle Corps should reach its financial goal to participate in the 2009 Presidential Inauguration Parade on Jan. 20 in Washington, D.C.

The Colts are among 100 groups that were selected from 1,382 applicants. The estimated total cost of the trip will be around $60,000.

In late December, the McCoy Group, a Dubuque-based business, offered a $20,000 challenge grant to the Colts to help pay for the trip. The community responded. As of late Friday afternoon, the Colts had an estimated $47,000 for the trip.
