In The News: KP Student, Alumni To Be In Inaugural Parade

One day, several local residents will be able to tell stories about how, on Jan. 20, 2009, they took part in one of the most notable presidential elections in U.S. history: The first time a man of African American descent was sworn into the highest office in the nation.

Four King Philip High School graduates, and one current student, along with an instructor with the KP percussion program, are heading to Washington D.C. next week to march in the 56th presidential inaugural parade as President-Elect Barack Obama formally takes office.
