In The News: Windber Teen To Participate In Inaugural Parade

Windber Area High School graduate Stephanie Barrick has been twirling either a baton, silk flag, saber or rifle since the sixth grade, but in about one week she will be tossing the equipment at one of the most prestigious events in Washington, D.C.

The 19-year-old has been invited to perform in the inaugural parade with 150 other members of the Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps Color Guard, which is a division of the Drum Corps International. The Youth Education in the Arts sponsors the cadets.
