2009 Carolina Crown Camp #3 Report

Spirit overpowers Cold! Much buzz surrounded the January 16-18 weekend, some excitement around the Presidential Inauguration but mostly over the Carolina Crown weekend camp that was held at Fort Mill High School. This camp was the first camp of the season that did not include the colorguard, however, the corps was lucky enough to have the presence of the CrownGUARD for the weekend rehearsal.

The cold weather was not enough to keep any of the passionate musicians away from the camp but WOW was it cold! The hornline and percussion continued work on basic exercises as well as the 2009 show music. They put it all together in ensemble rehearsals Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. The staff has been quite pleased with what they have seen up to this point in the season and are looking forward to a continuation all the way to August!
