7th Regiment Announces 2009 Drum Major

The 7th Regiment is pleased to announce the selection of Jonathan Miller as Drum Major for the 2009 season. Jonathan is a graduate of East Lyme High School and is currently a sophomore at the University of Connecticut with a major in biological sciences. At East Lyme High School, Jon served in the Leo Club, student senate, and was a member of the National Honor Society. Musically, he was in symphonic band, concert choir, and was also a participant in the New England Music Festival. At UConn, Jonathan devotes his extra time to his fraternity, Tau Kappa Epsilon, and serves as risk manager, house manager, and academic chairman. His marching experience includes four seasons with the East Lyme High School Viking Marching Band, three in the trumpet section and one as drum major, two seasons in the UConn Marching Band in the trumpet section, and this will be his third season marching with 7th Regiment. He is very excited about the upcoming season and wishes to take 7th Regiment to even greater heights than last season.
