Cadets Search For A Few Good Men, And Women

A recent change in plans has increased the size of the Cadets brass section to 80 from a planned 72 members, creating openings for quality bass players on a first come, first served basis.

“We are spending a good deal of the show exploring the conflict or duality that existed for Leonard Bernstein, said Cadets Director George Hopkins. “As a result, and as ideas have developed, we have embraced the idea of a split corps for the second production! In fact, the piece has been completed by Jay Bocook and will be presented to the brass section at the Feb. 6-8 rehearsals. We also look for a five-way split in the closer and again, an 80 person brass section seems to make far more sense.”
