Memphis Sound Seeking Additional Administrative Team Members

Memphis Sound Drum & Bugle Corps is expanding our Administrative Team and are looking for qualified candidates for the following positions:

Membership Coordinator
Alumni Coordinator
Food Services Manager
Merchandising Manager

Membership Coordinator – Membership Coordinator (MC) will report directly to the Assistant Corps Director. MC will be responsible for all records for marching members of the corps, including application, medical, financial, and all paperwork required of members. MC will need access to email and computer and familiarity with CorpsData.net and accounting experience are helpful

Alumni Coordinator – Alumni Coordinator (AC) will report directly to the Assistant Corps Director as well as the Alumni Interns on the MYPAA Board of Directors. AC is responsible for all record keeping and primary accounting for the Memphis Alumni Association. Recruiting, Accounting, and Fundraising skills are ideal. Position is reserved for a former marching, staff or board member from Memphis Sound Drum & Bugle Corps.

Food Services Manager – Food Services Manager (FSM) will report directly to the Logistics Coordinator (LC). FSM will work with LC and Corps Director in planning meals for rehearsals and summer touring. FSM will also assist in purchasing, organization of food truck, and will work with the Assistant Corps Director in achieving volunteer needs for Food Production.

Merchandising Manager – Merchandising Manager (MM) will report to both the Logistics Coordinator (LC) and Director of Development (DD). MM will be responsible for ensuring all events where merchandise will be sold is properly staffed (working with the Assistant Corps Director for volunteer needs) and all records and accounting are accurate and secure. MM will work with DD on fulfillment of inventory, as well as assist in the development of items to be sold. Experience with online store development and maintenance is a bonus (not a requirement).

In addition, MYPAA is looking to fill two open positions on the Board of Directors. These positions are reserved for past marching members of Memphis Sound Drum & Bugle Corps over the age of 22. Positions are intern positions on the Board, with full voting rights, for one year. At that time, the intern may apply for any open seat available on the board.

MYPAA and Memphis Sound are very excited about the 2009 season and are still interviewing candidates in several administrative areas.
