New Jersey Drum Corps Hall Of Fame 2009 Inductees Announced

The New Jersey Drum Corps Hall of Fame will be holding its 12th Annual Induction Banquet on May 16, 2009, at the V.F.W. Post #4699, Sayerville, N.J. This year’s inductees are:

Cosmo Alagna, Vic Chester, George DelMonte, Robert Hamilton, Harry Hazelwood, and Richard Warga

The NJDCHF is proud to welcome our latest inductees as they join the list of illustrious members printed above. All candidates are nominated by written application and screened annually by a distinguished committee of drum corps personnel.  Each year at this time we convene for a formal banquet and ceremony that includes awards for each inductee, an appearance by the Audubon Alumni Chorus and the New Jersey Alumni Drum Corps, and a low-cost dinner for all to enjoy.

In order to maintain the high quality of our program at an affordable price for all who wish to attend, we are asking the drum corps community to make a $25 contribution to be acknowledged in our program book for the evening. Business cards will be accepted. For half-page ads, please contribute $50, and for full-page ads, please contribute $100.

Past contributors to the NJDCHF have included: Audubon Bon-Bons Alumni Assn., The Cavaliers, The Raiders, Jersey Surf, Phantom Regiment, Skyliners Alumni Chorus, MF Studios, Drum Corps Midwest, Hawthorne Caballeros, Rochester Crusaders, Grace Stenlake, Jack O’Brien and Peg Tulloch.

We need not remind you that New Jersey has a rich and proud heritage of drum corps legends. Our Hall of Fame is an important means of justly honoring those who have contributed so much to the development and maintenance of this activity, not only in our state, but throughout the world of drum corps. Your donation will be a lasting tribute in our on-going efforts to honor our drum corps family.
