2009 Cadets Spring Training Week 1 Report

With a full week under their belts, the corps has adjusted well to dormitory life in the rolling hills of Western Pennsylvania, and the rigors that Spring Training can bring. The rehearsal days are long up to 18 hours of marching, playing, polishing, dot book prep, uniform fittings, and more. In true Cadet-style, the transition to full-time corps life has been almost seamless, according to Assistant Director Justin Heimbecker.

“It always takes a few days to settle in, but now we are in great shape,” Heimbecker said. “The kids have been absolutely amazing as they find their way around. They are great kids!”
