2009 SCV Pre-Tour Report – Days 4-6

The Santa Clara Vanguard is currently doing twelve-hour days of rehearsal in Weed, CA at College of the Siskiyous (see right). On Friday evening, May 29, they will be heading for a weekend of rehearsal at Menlo College in Atherton, CA.

Days Four Through Six of the Santa Clara Vanguard’s Pre-tour have been spent in far Northern California at College of the Siskiyous in Weed, CA. Yes, you read that correctly – Weed, CA. And yes, all the jokes have been made and members of the instructional staff and management team have been planning to make their trip to the "Official Souvenir Store" dedicated to every humorous and edgy phrase perhaps ever made in reference to the town’s name. Weed is actually an historic lumber town, which happens to have the fifth tallest mountain in the state of California (Mt. Shasta – more than 14,000 feet) as it’s NEARBY neighbor.
