In The News: Rock Hill Officials Hope Event Drums Up Money

Rock Hill city and school officials expect an upcoming drum corps competition to bring a much-needed financial boost to the area.

From thousands of fans plus the nine performing squads expected to descend on Rock Hill for the evening event on July 26, organizers predict city businesses will bank roughly $70,000.

Some said they expect all 9,000 District Three Stadium seats will sell out as drum corps from across the nation take turns performing.
