Connecticut Hurricanes Sponsor “Fanfare For Kids” Exhibition

The Connecticut Hurricanes are proud to announce that they will be sponsoring a drum and bugle corps exhibition on Saturday, June 20th. "Fanfare for Kids"will benefit the Boys and Girls Club of the Lower Naugatuck Valley and will showcase the talents of James Covington World Champion trumpet soloist,and a brass ensemble and quartet from the Park City Pride. The Beecher Grammar School Band will perform in exhibition as well as the DCI open class 7th Regiment who will perform their 2009 field show "Excalibur". Celebrating their fifth anniversary the Park City Pride will present an always entertaining field show that fans across the Northeast can relate to. "The Gold Rush" stampedes into Derby as the Connecticut Hurricanes debut their 2009 field show. Building on last years exciting finish at DCA finals the corps will be led onto the field by the defending DCA World Champion color guard and five time champion honor guard.

The event will be held at Ryan Field in Derby, Ct. from 6-8 p.m. with the gates opening at 5 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for teens, children under 12 are free. Boys and Girls Club members are also admitted for free. This event promises to be a fun filled two hours of entertainment and exciting exhibitions by all of the participants. Come join us for this event as the competitive season is only a few short days away.
