Pacific Crest debuted their 2009 drum corps season before a crowd of several hundred family members, friends, fans, and alumni at Los Altos High School in Hacienda Heights, CA on Sunday evening, June 14th. Their premiere performance of "El Corazon del la Gente" had the crowd excited about the upcoming summer season, with the corps sounding great and looking spectacular in their new uniforms – which also made their debut at this evening’s "Sneak Preview" performance.

Executive Director Stuart Pompel welcomed those in attendance, provided some background on the musical selections, and thanked the 100-plus donors (25% of which were Pacific Crest alumni) that provided over $20,000 to fully-fund the uniform purchase.

The uniforms were designed by Stanbury’s Brent Becker and were designed with the intent to "capture the unique character of Southern California’s World Class Corps, while including traditional elements of the corps’ colors and logo …. stressing an athletic fit, and while keeping with black pants, it introduces white to the upper quarter of the jacket to brighten the visual effect of the corps.", according to earlier design information from Pacific Crest.
