In The News: 31st Drums Along The Mohawk Entertains Thousands

31years ago Drums Along the Mohawk was an idea in Claudette Wire’s head. "It began as a fundraiser for a corps for my children were marching in, and it just kind of kept going." said Wire, now the Executive Director of the event.

Every year drum corp international teams, from all over the country, visit RFA stadium. The Rome performance is just one stop along the route of about 60 cities. Most of the band members, and their families, stay in the city two days

"Drums Along the Mohawk has developed a reputation, around the country within the drum corps world, that this the place to be." Wire said.
