In The News: Drum Spectacular Coming To North Andover High School, All Welcome

By late afternoon next Friday, July 31, the North Andover High School football field will be filled with music, drumming and dancing as the visiting Madison Scouts of Madison, Wis., — one of only two all-male drum and bugle corps in the world — practices for a competition. The large rehearsal is free to the public, and will be the culmination of smaller unit practices during the day that will also be open for viewing in various spots around the NAHS campus.

Starting around 10 a.m. and ending in a large drill with the entire corps of 150 performers at around 4:30 p.m., the drum and bugle corps is expected to put on quite a show. The Madison Scouts travel around the country competing against other drum corps in a circuit called Drum Corps International.
