In The News: Elite Drum And Bugle Corps Rehearses At CHS

For two days from sunrise to sunset, the rousing sound of horns and drums playing marching music wafted over Creswell, enticing a handful of curious residents to follow the inspirational sounds to their source: the Creswell High School football field, where the Blue Knights, an elite drum and bugle corps, were practicing.

Headquartered in Denver, the Blue Knights are a world-class, competitive drum and bugle corps comprised of 150 talented young people, one of about 60 touring drum and bugle corps in the nation and one of about six who were in the Eugene-Springfield area last week preparing for a July 2 exhibition show at Eugene’s Autzen Stadium.
