In The News: Santa Clara Vanguard Brings Tradition Of Titles To Local Drum Corps Event

Editor’s note: This is the fifth of a five-part series featuring the drum and bugle corps which will perform at “Thunder in Oregon” July 7 at Ontario High School. This week’s drum and bugle corps: The Santa Clara Vanguard.

Drum Corps International will hold an event featuring five drum and bugle corps in Ontario July 7.

The event, “Thunder in Oregon,” will begin at 7:30 p.m. at the Ontario High School football field and will feature the Oregon Crusaders out of Portland, Ore., The Cascades of Woodinville, Wash., The Troopers from Casper, Wyo., the Blue Knights out of Denver, Colo., and the Santa Clara Vanguard from Santa Clara, Calif.
