Program Tweaks, Cleaning And Clarity On Cadets’ Agenda

More than two weeks into their Summer Tour and the Holy Name Cadets have already had an amazing ride! Fans have fallen in love with West Side Story 2009: Conflict and Resolution, the show received by cheering crowds from Pennsylvania to Ohio to Michigan. Heading into the July 4th Weekend, the schedule gets tight, and along with performances in several holiday parades, rehearsals will focus on clarity and cleaning.

“We are beginning to move through the brass and percussion book and remove any areas that are insanely challenging,” said Holy Name Cadets Director George Hopkins. “For the most part, folks will not know [of the changes] but for the world of drum corps, clarity is king, complexity is sometimes frowned upon, and we just do too much! So, time to clean it up a bit.”
