In The News: Kilties Drum Corps Heads To Stiehm Stadium

Before the D.C. Everest marching band gets back into action for the school season, the Racine Kilties will warm up Stiehm Stadium with a drum and bugle corps demonstration.

The Kilties will perform Aug. 16 with the Minnesota Brass and The Govenaires. All three are independent corps not associated with a high school or college, with members ranging from 16 to 61 years old.

"It’s neat that we have a mix of ages. Everyone gets along with one another and everyone helps one another," said Scott Steward, director of the Kilties. "This is something people can do throughout their lives."
