In The News: Members Of Drum Corps Go To Ball Memorial Hospital With Flu-Like Symptoms

Before this week, Delaware County hadn’t had one officially confirmed case of swine flu, or Novel H1N1 Influenza, as government and health officials now call it.

As of Tuesday, the county might have one — or 14.

What hospital officials referred to as "a busload of kids" went to the Ball Memorial Hospital emergency department with flu-like symptoms around 4 p.m. Tuesday. The Delaware County Health Department was called in, the patients were tested and two of those tests were sent on the Indiana State Department of Health, which would determine whether those cases were H1N1, according to Will Henderson, BMH director of public relations.
