In The News: Real Performers Wear Kilts

It’s hard to find music everyone can enjoy, but the Kiltie Klassic seemed to do just that this year by offering a variety of tunes for young and old.

At its 16th invitational competition Saturday night at Case High School, Racine’s Kilties Drum and Bugle Corps, along with four other music groups, played fast and slow songs as well as big band music and rap beats.

The music groups invited this year came from the Chicago area and cities in Minnesota. They ran the gamut from marching bands and concert brass bands to drill teams and flag ensembles. No matter who was performing, a toe always seemed to be tapping.
