Drum Majors, Section Leaders: Experience The Cadets

As hundreds of brass musicians, colorguard performers, and percussionists prepare for the Cadets’ 2010 Audition and Experience Camp on Nov. 20-22nd, many conductors and drum majors are asking: What about us?

While the corps is excited and fortunate to bring back all three of the fabulous drum majors from the 2009 season (Chris Zentner, Ben Pouncey, Kate Klontz), this means that the traditional “audition” for conducting positions does not exist as it has in past seasons. However, this level of experience in our current leaders presents a unique opportunity to provide an educational, hands-on weekend for students from various backgrounds.
