In The News: Govenaires Win World Championship

For the second time in four years, the Govenaires Drum and Bugle Corps can stake claim to being among the nation’s elite as they claimed the Drum Corps Associates (DCA) Class A World Championship over the weekend at Paetec Park in Rochester, N.Y.

The Govenaires, who also won the Class A title in 2006, edged out the Kingston Vigilantes (Ontario, Canada) for the 2009 title while also claiming titles for High Brass, High Overall Effect, High Color Guard and Best Drum Major (John Mayer).
