Will Koehler spent his summer vacation working like a dog, challenging himself to the limits, sweating a lot and earning a world championship medal.

The Pittsburg State University student, son of Sherry and Frank Fearmonti, Pittsburg, was a member of the Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps, based in Concord, Calif. After an undefeated season, the Blue Devils took the stage Aug. 8 at the Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, Ind., for the Drum Corps International World Championship Finals.
