Showband Marum Becomes Drum & Bugle Corps

The Dutch top show band Marum has announced that the band will change into a drum & bugle corps in the next few years. Marum has plans to compete in the DCE European Championships in 2010.

Showband Marum was very successful at the World Music Contest in Kerkrade this summer, beating the Dutch drum corps champions Beatrix Drum & Bugle Corps. For years, the show band’s musical style could not be defined as ‘drum corps style’ or ‘traditional’. By becoming a drum & bugle corps, Marum has made a clear decision about the new style.
