The Empire Statesmen bring to life Frank Baum?s epic children’s tales with their 2010 production entitled OZ: An American Fairy Tale.

The 2010 Statesmen will entertain audiences across the country as they present their interpretation of OZ in a dramatic and theatrical production that blends the sights and sounds of the epic fairy tale Statesmen style.

Incorporating music from the timeless classic film The Wonderful Wizard of OZ, Broadway’s awarding winning musicals Wicked and The Wiz, the Empire Statesmen will take you on an incredible journey that tells the endearing story of Dorothy Gale, her journey to the magical land of OZ, her intense battle between good vs. evil, but most importantly that ?there?s no place like home.?

The 2010 Statesmen Design Team includes: David Bruni as Show Coordinator, Jerry Kelsey as Brass Arranger, Joe Guadagnino and Ted Mascari as Battery Arrangers, Kirk Gay as Pit Percussion Arranger, Matt Winans as guard designer/instructor and Sarah Cole as guard designer/co-caption head. Joining the design team this season is Statesmen alum Mark Rider as Visual Designer.

Show Coordinator David Bruni stated that ?the design team has brought excitement, extensive preparation and an incredible amount of creative energy to the design table. The depth of programming is really exciting! I can?t wait to put this show on turf!?
