In The News: Spartans Fighting( To Drum Up Support

For the Spartans Drum & Bugle Corps, being in the news is not something that is particularly unusual.

After all, when you have been around for 54 years, performed in five presidential inaugural parades and earned four division world championships in a 10-year span, getting the attention of the media isn’t all that difficult.

Unfortunately, the Nashua-based drum and bugle corps was in the news for much of the past 12 months not because of its prowess on the field, but because of financial woes that led to a bankruptcy protection filing last November in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manchester.
