Nieves Named New Vanguard Cadets Director

The Santa Clara Vanguard has named Robert Nieves to the position of Vanguard Cadets Corps Director, replacing Rob Ripley, who stepped down at the conclusion of the corps’ silver medal-finish at the Open Class DCI World Championship in Indianapolis this past August. Nieves has served as the Vanguard Cadets tour manager in 2009, also having served in a caption head and management position with the cadet corps over several years.

"While we’re sad to have Rob Ripley depart, we’re excited to have Robert Nieves step into the position," said Vanguard CEO Jeff Fiedler. "Under Ripley’s leadership the Vanguard Cadet corps won its second DCI World Championship in 2008 and forged new ground in the Open Class while making an astounding run at the title in the final days of the summer."
