Velvet Knights 2009 Disney VoluntEARS Community Fund

On behalf of the entire Disneyland Resort Cast, we are delighted to announce that the VK Youth Arts Organization, a nonprofit organization, has been selected as a 2009 grant recipient for the Disney VoluntEARS Community Fund! This year Cast Members chose the organization as one of 64 nonprofits being awarded a cumulative total of approximately $315,000 this year in recognition of unique and innovative nonprofit efforts that address critical challenges in our local communities.

"We are very proud to have been selected by Disneyland, and grateful of the funds awarded," said Corps Director Mayra Iraheta. The Velvet Knights Drum & Bugle Corps is gearing up to what may be a "Magical Mystery Season" for this upcoming year.

They will be hosting an Open House on Sunday November 1, 2009 at the Boys Scouts Headquarters – 1211 E. Dyer Road, Santa Ana CA. from 2 to 6pm.
