Virtue To Join Cavaliers 2010 Brass Team

The Cavaliers are pleased to announce that Jon Virtue will join the brass instructional team for the 2010 season. Brass Caption Head Scott-Lee Atchison states, "Jon is an accomplished trumpet player with a wide variety of talents and performance experiences and we are excited to add such a fantastic performer and teacher to our 2010 Brass Team."

Jonathan Virtue is originally from Collegeville, Pennsylvania and holds a Bachelor’s degree in music education and a Master’s degree in trumpet performance from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. He has had the privilege of studying with Matthew Gallagher, Frank Kaderabek, and Brian MacDonald. While at West Chester University, Jonathan played lead trumpet for the historic "Criterions Jazz Ensemble" under the direction of MSgt Matthew Niess of the US Army Blues Jazz Ensemble. He has shared a stage with some of today’s top artists including Wayne Bergeron, Gordon Goodwin, Gregg Field, Peter Erskine, Tony Kadleck, Allen Vizzutti, Dennis DiBlasio, The Airmen of Note and many more.
