Willett Returns As SoCal Dream Brass Caption Head In 2010

As SoCal Dream moves in a new direction, they turn to former brass caption head Thom Willett to guide them through the 2010 season and beyond.

Mr. Willett was previously SoCal Dream’s brass caption head for the 2006 and 2007 seasons. He was then promoted to Corps Director in 2008 but resigned early that season to follow an opportunity to help build the Velvet Knights program into the DCI open class finalist corps we witnessed this past 2009 season. Under Thom’s guidance in 2006, SoCal Dream was honored with the class A “High Brass” caption award at DCA Championships in Rochester, NY. When asked about his move back to SoCal Dream and the DCA side of drum corps competition, he said, “I am excited to be back working with SoCal Dream and their talented hornline members”. He continued, “Returning to SoCal Dream as they move in a new direction, I look forward to the challenge of shaping their hornline into the new style and building them once again into a championship caliber corps”. “The 2010 season is going to be a turning point for SoCal Dream, and I am really excited to be a part of it”.
