Nalls Returns As Renegades Director

| |

Corps Director Greg Gilman announced today that former Director Chris Nalls would be taking over as Corps Director, with Lolita Tabujara joining the leadership team as Assistant Director. Gilman will take on the title of Executive Director. These changes are effective immediately.

"With the additional responsibilities recently added to my position in the iTunes group at Apple, it makes sense to expand corps management to spread leadership duties among the qualified people in our organization," said Gilman. "Chris Nalls is the logical choice to take the reigns. And we are pleased to add someone as talented as Lolita Tabujara as part of the team."

As Director of the Renegades from 2002-2004, and Executive Director in 2005, Nalls led the Renegades in their first appearances as finalists in the prestigious Drum Corps Associates (DCA) Championships, an honor the corps has maintained since their first appearance in 2002. Chris Nalls was also named Director of the year by DCA in 2003. He has also served as Musical Director and as Artistic Director of the two-time world champion Renegades Minicorps.

Lolita Tabujara’s history with the Renegades began in 2005, playing lead baritone. Since then, she has tasked herself with learning to perform in all sections of the corps, being part of the color guard in 2007 and playing vibraphone in the 2009 DCA Champion I&E percussion ensemble at DCA in 2009. Lolita has been the corps’ drum major since 2008 and has served as at the executive level on the Renegades Board of Directors.

About the Renegades

The San Francisco Renegades were founded in 1996 by a small group of people that got together simply for the love of the drum corps activity. The mission of the Renegade organization is to bring an unprecedented awareness and appreciation of the drum corps activity to the public through a comprehensive marketing and financial plan. Ten-time California State Champions, the Renegades have been finalists at the Drum Corps Associate Championships since 2002.
