Tragedy Strikes Pacific Crest Family

Pacific Crest Drum Major, Zachary Headden, was killed early this morning in an auto accident in Diamond Bar, California.

The accident occurred at approximately 3:45 AM, as Zach and another PC Alumnus, Armando Duenas, were driving home from a performance with a reggae band in San Diego.

His father, Robert Headden, called Executive Director Stuart Pompel within hours of the accident. "I am shocked and deeply saddened about this," said Pompel in a communication to the Pacific Crest Family of members, alumni, staff, board, and volunteers. "The entire Pacific Crest family is stunned, and when corps members call me, I’m asking that they get together to support one another during this incredibly difficult time."
