2010 Academy Audition Camp Report

The 2010 season is already shaping up to be an exciting one with more than a 20% increase in audition applications this year. The first audition weekend began with the annual Open House at the Corona del Sol High School auditorium just down the road from the corps training grounds. Parents, prospective members, and fans all came to hear about the corps plans for the upcoming season. Audition participants had the chance to meet the staff and learn more about the expectations of Academy members.

With the increase in participation this year, the corps will be expanding its trainee program to involve more local students who not quite able to participate in the corps as full-time members. These trainee members will rehearse in tandem with the corps through the annual Memorial Day Concert and have the opportunity to work on Academy techniques while continuing to grow as performers.
