In The News: Kingston Grenadiers Prepare For Another Successful Season

The Grenadiers are striking up the band and playing a new tune.

The public is invited to check them out this weekend, when they host an open house at Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School on Saturday, Jan. 9 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sunday, Jan. 10 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

After a busy and extremely successful season, the Kingston Grenadiers Drum and Bugle Corps are looking toward the future with optimism and excitement. The group came in second in the Class A category at the Drum Corps Associates (DCA) world championships held in Rochester, New York on Labour Day weekend. In addition, the Grenadiers came in third in five other competitions over the summer — a remarkable accomplishment considering many of these were cross-category events in which the band competed against groups that far outnumbered them.
