SCV-Sponsored Winter Guard Events Jan. 30 And Feb. 13

The Vanguard will be sponsoring two winter color guard contests this season. On January 30, the organization will sponsor a CCGC event at James Lick HS in San Jose, CA. On February 13, the Vanguard will sponsor a WGI Regional at Clovis North HS in Fresno, CA.

The San Jose California Color Guard Circuit event on January 30 will begin in the afternoon and will feature exhibitions by local winter drum lines as a warmup for the winter percussion season. The Vanguard Cadets Winter Percussion Ensemble will be a featured performing ensemble. The winter color guard portion of the show will begin one hour after the conclusion of the winter percussion exhibitions and will feature approximately 16 color guards, including a competitive performance by the defending world champion Vanguard Winter Guard.
