Three Opportunities To Audition For FORTE On Jan 16th
The months of January, February, March and May all have something in common in Forte land… it means 3 locations to rehearse and audition for the 2010 Corps! Brunswick, OH (Cleveland), Virginia Beach, VA and Grand Prairie (Dallas-Fort Worth), TX all play host to young men and women looking to be a member of this brand new corps. In April, members from all sites will gather in Texas for a Full Camp Weekend to learn drill and get some ensemble music time in with all the membership. All other rehearsals prior to summer are Saturday only, which allows our members to meet the rigorous schedules of band, winterguard and community programs they are also involved in; along with making sure members travel to and from camps more safely and ensuring a full compliment of members the entire rehearsal.only.
First time auditionees are welcomed at any rehearsal until spots are filled, and January will be the first round of contracts for all sections. This will also be the last time the colorguard will be in attendance until the April Camp, allowing members to focus on their Winterguard seasons.

8:30pm – Ensemble (Parents and Families are invited to attend and watch)
9:15pm – Clean-up

Contracts will be offered starting in January. Drum Major Candidates may audition at this location and will be videotaped (Candidate may be asked to attend the February Texas Camp in addition to April). Battery Percussion candidates will be required to submit a video biweekly to the Caption Head in order to be offered and to obtain a position in the Battery Percussion section.**
***Students need to bring their own instruments for the audition and camps at this location. If you need an instrument provided for you, please contact director [at] fortecorps [dot] org at least 3 days prior to camp. Battery Auditionees should bring a Snare drum.***
